Our venture into hiking and mountaineering rental is brought to you via a partnership between Cirkel Supply and our friends at Mammut and Innovation Booster.

Innovation Booster Living Lab for Decarbonisation (IBLL4D) is an arm of Innosuisse which supports development of concepts and models that can decarbonise daily life in Switzerland. IBLL4D brings together researchers, businesses and government bodies to create projects focused on emissions reductions. In our case, to see how rental can reduce emissions in ski tourism by serving more people with less products.

Globally renowned Swiss mountain equipment brand - Mammut - have a purpose to create products that enable all outdoor enthusiasts to experience the power of the mountains. Mammut views this project with Cirkel as a way to test the rental market, and understand how rental can help them meet their emission reduction goals.

Mammut Mountain Days

We are excited to be present at Mammut Mountain Days. This incredible 3-day event features entertainment, camping, and courses on 16 different outdoor activities like mountaineering, climbing and trail running.

If you need to rent clothing and equipment for Mountain Days, order on our rental page and at checkout, select Mammut Mountain Days in the alternative delivery drop down. We’ll bring your rental package directly to Mountain Days Basecamp in Täsch (at the Product Hub).

What products are on offer to rent?

Mountaineering

Clothing: Mammut shell jackets, mountaineering softshell pants, and puffer jackets.
Equipment: Mammut helmets, harnesses, belay devices and backpacks. Crampons, ice axes, trekking poles and gaiters.

Hiking

Clothing: Mammut lightweight shell jackets, hiking pants, and puffer jackets.
Equipment: Hiking poles and gaiters.

In summers to come, we will expand our hiking and mountaineering assortment, and also include camping gear.

What’s the ordering and delivery process like?

Order your rental on our website. Simply enter your rental dates, browse our products, add them to your basket, and at checkout, let us know where you’re going. Then you’re free to travel to your destination as light as a feather with full confidence that your rental package will be waiting at your hotel, ready for adventure.

For our convenient delivery service, select your pre-expedition accommodation in our checkout drop down menus. And if your accommodation provider isn’t listed, add your hotel’s name and address in the additional information field. If you’re not staying at a hotel with a concierge to receive your package, we have alternative delivery options for you (from ski rental store partners, to Swiss Post depots). It’s always possible to find a great solution for easy delivery - for any questions, email orders@cirkelsupply.com

Note for Mountain Days participants, please select Mammut Mountain Days as your alternative delivery. By selecting this delivery option, you will receive your rental package directly at the Mountain Days event village in Täsch (in the Product Hub).

Is there anything else I should know about summer rental?

We have great delivery and return plans both for return trips, and A to B expeditions such as the Haute Route. If you’re not returning to the hotel where your package was delivered, send your trip info to orders@cirkelsupply.com and we’ll fix a plan.

If you’re ordering crampons, be sure to add your boot brand name and model in the checkout additional information field so that we can check you’ve selected the right crampon to fix securely to your boot.
