The best bars in Verbier: A nightlife guide
Verbier might be famous for its powder, but its après-ski scene is every bit as legendary. Once the lifts stop spinning, the village comes alive with live bands, ski boots clacking on cobblestones and cocktails that taste better mainly because you earned them.
We spend a lot of time in Verbier — delivering our premium skiwear rental service and quietly road-testing the local nightlife (all in the name of research, of course). Here’s our pick of the best bars in town, from rowdy après to cosy corners and late-night dancefloors.
Farinet – The Wildest Après in Verbier
If you hear music drifting through Place Centrale at 16:01, that’s Farinet calling. The après bar’s famous roof opens with the first chord of the live band, and from there the afternoon dissolves into a happy blur of ski boots on bench tops and an atmosphere that somehow feels both outrageous and welcoming.
It’s almost a rite of passage: ski all day, step inside Farinet, and promise yourself you’ll “just stay for one drink.” You won’t. No one ever has.
For those who like to schedule their beer shower early in the evening so that they can make the first ski lift the next day, Farinet is an excellent choice as Après closes around 2100.

The Rabbit Hutch – Verbier’s Secret Cocktail Den
Hidden just enough to feel like a discovery, The Rabbit Hutch is the village’s favourite speakeasy. Cosy quarters lit by a soft amber glow, the Rabbit Hutch serves the best cocktails in Verbier — crafted, balanced and always slightly surprising.
For those wanting to enjoy Verbier's best cocktails from the comfort of their chalet, view the full menu online and ask about their home delivery service.
Pub Mont Fort – Closest to the Slopes, Heart of the Action
Just metres from the slopes, Pub Mont Fort is one of the easiest places to fall into after a long day on the skis or snowboard. Expect proper pints, easygoing staff and lively chatter that rolls from afternoon beers on the terrace to Hot Shots late into the night.
A top spot for meeting ski instructors, chalet hosts, seasonnaires and anyone else who treats Verbier as home for the winter.
Lumi – Relaxed Atmosphere, Central Location
You can practically throw a stone from the Médran lift station to Lumi — it’s that close, and that convenient (... some might say, too convenient). Lumi often hosts live music and the occasional Latino night, complete with dancing that starts off easy and turns lively before you know it. The atmosphere is relaxed and laidback until the band plugs in — then it revs up quickly, in the best possible way.
With its terrace and outdoor seating, it’s the kind of place where you’ll get dragged in off the street for “just one drink.” So if you don’t want to drink at Lumi, we recommend bringing a hat and dark glasses so that you can slip past, undetected.
Le Rouge – The Classic Verbier Terrace
A quintessential Verbier experience, Le Rouge is where long lunches effortlessly blur into après-ski. Its wide terrace, brilliant on sunny days, overlooks the valley and draws a stylish but relaxed crowd. Whether you're tucking into a late lunch or heading straight there from the slopes, it delivers that quintessential Verbier feeling: music playing, people mingling, and skis parked in the snow just a few steps away.
It’s less rowdy than Farinet, more polished than Pub Mont Fort, and ideal for anyone who wants a great atmosphere without losing their voice by 18:00.
South – Verbier’s Late-Night Dancefloor
When you’ve navigated après, cocktails and dinner, there’s one place left to go. South is where Verbier heads after midnight: a proper club with DJs, energy and the kind of friendly crowd that happily dances until the early-morning bakery opens.
It’s not complicated. It’s not exclusive. It’s simply where everyone ends up — often still in ski socks.
Farm Club – Verbier’s Original Nightclub
No guide to Verbier’s nightlife would be complete without the legendary Farm Club. Since 1971, it has hosted everyone from royalty to ski bums, maintaining an atmosphere that blends old‑school glamour with a distinctly Verbier sense of fun. The lights are low, the music is upbeat and the crowd is a fascinating blend of long-time regulars, chalet guests and wide-eyed first‑timers.
Farm Club is not the place you end up — it’s the place you plan for. Dress a little smarter, prepare for a late finish, and enjoy a Verbier institution that has remained iconic for more than 50 years.
Alp & Horn – Verbier’s Most Wholesome Night Out
Not every night in Verbier needs strobe lights and bone-shivering bass notes. The Alp & Horn offers excellent beer, a relaxed atmosphere and the famous weekly pub quiz. It’s fun, friendly, and a laidback spot to spend an evening.
Plus, nothing will bond your group quite like arguing passionately about obscure Swiss trivia.
