About Cirkel Supply
Discover how Cirkel Supply was born, and what motivates our team!
Our mission
We offer skiers & snowboarders a new, circular way to reduce the impact of their next trip to the Alps by renting – instead of buying – premium ski clothing.
Join us on our mission to make outdoor adventures more sustainable, convenient, and accessible to everyone.
Our service
Most skiers only get to the Alps for a week each winter, therefore a huge amount of ski clothing sits unused in closets for most of the year. Our service enables ski tourists to reduce this waste by renting – instead of buying – skiwear they don’t use often.
To encourage habit change from linear to circular, we focus on a seamless customer experience: our customers rent their favourite outfit on our website, and we deliver to their destination in the Swiss Alps.
Our story
Cirkel Supply was founded by Anders, Per, and Anna – three friends and keen skiers who saw an opportunity to improve upon the traditional, linear model of outdoor retail.
The Cirkel team is committed to accelerate environmentally friendly consumer behaviours, and reduce overconsumption so that future generations can continue enjoying and exploring the world we call home.
The team
-
Anders Bergenstrand
Anders is the original founder of Cirkel. Currently living his dream, Anders combines his drive for excellence and innovation in business, with his passion for outdoor sports and caring for nature.
When not polishing excel spreadsheets or packing packages, you’ll find Anders on the skin track, or ripping it up on his snowboard. -
Anna Smoothy
Anna is the co-founder leading our sustainability and business development. Many ask if these topics are at odds, and we answer: “Not at Cirkel! Our rental service decouples use of resources from business growth.”
An ex-freeride athlete and ski industry expert, Anna’s out-of-office is typically tied to ski-related escapades. -
Per Berthels
Per is a Cirkel co-founder and creative lead. He works on projects like brand and tech development, and creative campaigns that change consumer habits from linear, to circular.
Per lives in Sweden with his family and splits his time between being a full-time rad-dad and a freelance creative for various companies. -
Magali Häderli
Magali is laser focused on Cirkel’s operational excellence. She is in the lead of our rental operations from taking care of our beautiful products, to ensuring packages get from A to B (and back again)!
Extremely handy on a bike, and so precise with a parapent that she’s spent time as a test pilot - Magali can be found tearing it up in Val de Bagnes with her family. -
Kaitlin Sipp
Kaitlin takes care of Cirkel’s hotel and tourism partners. Her background in hospitality, sports, and managing stakeholders in start-up ecosystems makes her perfectly placed to ensure collaborating with Cirkel is easy and adds value to our partners.
In her spare time, you’ll catch Kaitlin baking up a storm, or out hiking or skiing. -
Rosalind Monks
Rosie is the design hands behind Cirkel’s visual communications. Growing up in the foothills of the Swiss Alps, Rosie has a deep connection to the mountains that provide her with an abundance of natural stimuli and a vast playground that keeps her inspiration levels set to HIGH.
Rosie’s top art-free activities are skiing and surfing.
Our partners
We collaborate with hotels, travel agencies, rental agencies, and other tourism operators in Switzerland.
Our premium service is valued by our tourism partners due to its high quality and convenience: the partner’s guests order on our website, and we deliver to their accommodation.
Vision for the future
Our vision is for circular business models to be the norm, and not the exception, when it comes to the consumption of outdoor clothing and equipment.
